About Barnes & Barnes & “Voobaha”:
Art & Artie Barnes are the alter egos of actor & musician Bill Mumy (of the TV sci-fi classic “Lost In Space”) and childhood friend & fellow musician, the elusive and reclusive, Robert Haimer. The demented duo achieved nationwide acclaim on alternative rock & comedy radio programming alike in the late 70s into the 1980s, garnering consistent airplay on MTV with their bizarre stylings. The infamous “Fish Heads” music-video (from the “Voobaha” album) directed by and starring actor Bill Paxton (“Aliens”, “Weird Science”), aired repeatedly on Saturday Night Live (Dec. 6, 1980, Jan. 31, 1981 and again nearly three decades later on an SNL prime time special). “Fish Heads” was ranked by Rolling Stone at #57 in the top 100 music videos of all-time, and the iconic song itself has been referenced in a myriad of film and TV shows over the years, including the Emmy award winning animated series The Simpsons.

The corresponding music video for “Party in My Pants” (also from the “Voobaha” album) stars a young, yet-to-be discovered Teri Hatcher (“Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman”, “Desperate Housewives”) and model/Playboy Playmate Ann Pennington—as Barnes & Barnes’ would-be dates!

Both music videos “Party in My Pants” AND “Fish Heads” can be viewed online, for the first time ever in an official capacity, at the Demented Punk YouTube channel via brand new digital transfers struck from analog broadcast quality masters, complete with remastered 24 bit audio as used for the 40th Anniversary vinyl edition.

“Demented Punk has released the OTCHY POTCHIEST vinyl album reissue—just in time for its 40th anniversary! 1980’s most wild, funny, confounding, and dastardly comedy-novelty-punk-new wave album from that magical era, “VOOBAHA”… Features the hit song “FISH HEADS” and many more, all mastered from the original analog tapes to sound more 2019 than 2019 could ever sound! An album that was essential in 1980 and perhaps needed now again, more than ever! And you can STILL take your fish head to a free movie!”ARTIE BARNES
